This tutorial will show you how to create a beautiful statement necklace in a few simple steps.
This necklace is ideal for leftovers of any type of 4mm beads: crystals, bicones, gems, fire polished Czech beads etc.
This necklace can also be made with 5mm or 6mm beads instead of 4mm beads.
You can create this necklace with 4, 5, 6 or 7 rows, depends on the desired width.
In the instructions the clasping was made using a lobster clasp and a lengthening chain, that enables adjusting the length of the necklace when wearing it.
This project is suitable for all levels. Even so, I do not recommend that this should be your first project :)
This beading tutorial is a PDF file.
The instructions are very detailed, given step by step and include photos of each step.
The materials you will need are:
seed beads size 11 (I've used Miyuki)
About 420 4mm beads that are evenly distributed to different colors\types such as:
Fire Polished Czech beads, Bicones, crystals, rounds, gemstones, etc
The number of colors will determine the number of stripes in each cycle;
For example: 7 colors of 60 beads in each color will produce a cycle of 7 stripes like in the photo.
clasp (I've used lobster clasp and a small lengthening chain)
6lb or 8lb beading thread (Fireline recommended)
size 10 beading needle
The full list of materials including quantities appears in the PDF file
